Record Video and Photos with automatic enhancements:
Optionally fine tune these adjustments to personal taste.
Manual camera controls are also provided.
Dynamic Range Adjustment (AKA Tone Mapping) will make details more visible in darker areas of the image. Compared to other published and commercial algorithms, our unique tone mapping can provide a greater range reduction with less loss of contrast, and with very little to no "halo" effect.
Contrast Enhancement and Sharpening are also applied in a conservative manner designed to try to keep the images looking natural.
Our unique algorithm is very computationally expensive, and would not be practical without using a GPU. So iOS "Metal" capable devices are required (iPhone 5s ... iPhone 6s, and Metal capable iPads.)
Version 1.0 of DraCamula is still somewhat of a one trick pony. But it is a very important and useful trick that is best done before images are stored as JPEG or MPEG files. This is because the dynamic range adjustment makes details more visible that JPEG and MPEG will deliberately throw away during compression.
All the other image adjustments that DraCamula is still lacking can be done almost as well after your photos have been compressed and stored.
